Questionable Beginnings?

Lori Knorr, owner of the Sparrows Coffee Tea and Newsstand and an art educator with years of experience working in community centered art programs in Grand Rapids, MI, was recently asked by Cecile Fehsenfeld of Schuler Books, to lead an effort to establish a literacy center with an emphasis on creative writing and visual art.

The tutoring center, greatly influenced by 826 National, gives one-on-one support to under-privileged students aged 6-18.  In collaboration with the Litribune, Schuler Books, Literary Life Bookstore, and with the support of some really great people, we will be able to make this community center a reality.
